Omar Robinson

Omar is eminently qualified as he’s widely experienced in transformative tourism leadership and service; attributes enabling him to reinforce his noteworthy contribution in his latest role as Chief Operating Officer of Arya Resorts Management, to which he was appointed in October 2020.

In a hospitality career spanning 30 years, this youthful authority on things tourism was voted Jamaican ‘Hotelier of the Year’ while on his 17 years stint as General Manager of the prestigious Round Hill Hotel and Villas; preceding his current role. Prior to joining Round Hill Hotel and Villas, Omar spent 13 years with Sandals Resort across a number of its properties in Jamaica, rising in seniority to the level of Resident Manager before his departure.

An arbiter of hospitality, Omar is feverish in his thirst for knowledge and is concluding a Doctorate of Education in Leadership at Creighton University, pursuant to a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership at Southern New Hampshire University; a Bachelor of Science in Professional Management at Nova Southeastern University, in additional to other academic credentials.

An impassioned advocate for national and regional tourism sectors, Omar continues to demonstrate his fortitude as President of the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (2016 – 2020); Board Director of Tourism Enhancement Fund, Tourism Product Development Company; Member of Tourism Linkages Network Council and a Trustee of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Fund.
